How do I join?

You will need to be proposed and seconded by an existing member. Once we receive your application form you will be placed on a waiting list. Once a vacancy arises and you are next on the waiting list, you and your proposer will be invited to meet the board members for a chat. This usually happens in the Grouse at Froggatt in March. This is an opportunity for the club to meet you and for you to familiarise yourself with some members. Following a chat and all going well you will be invited to join the Waltonian Angling Club.

How do I join if I do not have a proposer?

There are opportunities to get to know club members at working parties or river walks. Write to the Secretary of the club at enquiries@thwaltonians.co.uk and introduce yourself and explain that you are interested in joining the club

When do you admit members?

We admit members after our AGM at the start of March. If you are on the waiting list, you will be invited to attend an interview.

What are the membership fees?

There is a joining fee of £615 and then an annual membership fee of £240. This means that you will need to pay £855 in year 1. There is also a small charge for a key plus a share certificate.

Can I take a friend fishing as a guest?

Yes, guest tickets are available to members.
